JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

•             Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related studies with an emphasis in Accounting

•             Advanced degree highly preferred

•             15+ years managerial experience in Accounting and/or Finance

•             Extensive manufacturing experience required

•             Possess a solid understanding of manufacturing principles, high-volume production methodologies, design, required outcome, etc.

•             Prior experience in close partnering with functional leadership

•             Proven progressive leadership record with strong decision making skills

•             Prior experience with managing a staff required

•             Proven experience with a tier-one ERP system, such as Oracle

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

•             Business partner with manufacturing and distribution leadership for the South Carolina locations – Piedmont Mfg., Clinton Mfg., and two Duncan distribution centers

•             As an intricate member of the leadership team, provide the financial oversight and decision making in support of the business requirements

•             Implement and manage a system of KPI measurements with targets and recurring review

•             Oversee the monthly closing process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained

•             Full preparation of a monthly site ‘financial/operational performance package’. This includes:

  • Financial statements
  • Performance metrics
  • Inventory
  • Headcounts
  • Capital (capital expenditures management and Working Capital controls alignment with Corporate targets)
  • Labor analytics (efficiency, utilization productivity – OEE)
  • Cost per metrics (hour, unit, etc.)

•             Manage all aspects of site Cost Accounting, including:

  • Item standard cost setting
  • Cost rolls, both annually and as needed
  • Reconcile production activity and explain variances to standard

•             Preparation of required workpapers supporting the monthly close process and month end balances

•             Prepare and review journal entries required to reflect the monthly activity

•             Reconcile inventory to the GL / perpetual reports

•             Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting and alignment is provided to Corporate for consolidation purposes

•             Manage transactions by department and compare costs incurred to budget, forecast with added explanations and performance analysis of all departments within the sites

•             Working closely with Corporate, prepare the annual budget and required forecasts working closely with functional sites leaders

•             Enforce and prepare ROI analysis for site capital requests

•             Coordinated via Corporate, assist where needed with annual tax returns, R&D tax credit, year-end audit and local FILOT and PILOT programs

•             Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective internal controls, aligned with Corporate, as they apply to the South Carolina sites

•             Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, as it relates to manufacturing and material handling processes

•             Manage and mentor a small staff of accountants / financial professionals

•             Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
