Payroll Systems Analyst Job Description

Calculated Hire is looking to hire a Payroll Analyst for one of the fastest growing health insurance companies in St. Louis. This individual would be responsible for preparing, reviewing and processing payroll ensuring timely payment and reporting.

Responsibilities:

· Maintain legacy payroll platforms throughout the implementation of a new system

· Assist with payroll processing validations

· Update the payroll system with employee information, prepare tax reports, and handle garnishments

· Clean up acquisition accounts which includes assisting with account registrations and closures

· Assist in preparing monthly journal entries

· Assist with implementing payroll changes and standard software upgrades

· Support Payroll Processing team and take on special projects as needed

Qualifications:

· 3+ years payroll experience (tax experience preferred)

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

· Accounting experience preferred

· Peoplesoft & ADP experience preferred

Soft Skills:

· Attention to detail

· Being able to work effectively as a team member

· Process improvement skills

· Ability to quickly learn a new software or process

· Understanding and staying up to date on payroll laws

Education:

· Bachelors Degree in Accounting (preferred), Finance, or related field
