Description:

This Hazard Tree Program Manager position is responsible for the planning, execution, tracking, and reporting of the Ohio and Kentucky Hazard Tree program. This position is specifically focused in the OH/KY North and South Zones. This position is accountable for facilitating PUCO Hazard Tree Auditing Program which includes Regulatory (PUCO) pre-auditing at least 10% with a 95% pass rate with a financial penalty and post-auditing 25%.

Responsibilities include:

• Management of oversight $4.8M in capital expenditures

• Detailed planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting associated with the Hazard Tree portion of the Midwest Substation Optimization Program

• Close coordination with engineering and planners for the Midwest Substation Optimization Program

• Identifies alignment of annual trim plan with the Midwest Substation Optimization Program

• Coordinates Contract Forester assessment schedules, data collection, and reporting

• Coordinates the release of work to vendors to execute the tree removals that are identified as part of the Midwest Substation Optimization Program

• Detailed planning and coordination for the Off-Circuit hazard tree program

• Detailed tracking and progress reporting related to T&D Service Level Agreement for OH/KY

• Detailed tracking and progress reporting on Hazard Tree portion of the Midwest Substation Optimization Program and the Off-Circuit Hazard Tree program

• Coordinate and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.

• Graduation from a two-year college or university.

• Working knowledge of project management principles.

• Working Knowledge to Proficiency in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving; Project related work experience; Risk Management; Project Leadership; Proven Collaborative Team Member.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduation from a four-year college or university.

• Utility Technical Certifications/Training; PMI (PMP or CAPM) Certification; CMII certificates; Professional Engineer License.

• Working knowledge to proficiency in project related Scheduling/ Cost Controls.

• Experience in utility industry.

• Knowledge in construction management.

• The Project Manager I may have relationships with individuals in various organizations ranging from individual contributors to Senior Department Leadership (i.e. individual contributors up to executive management).
