WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Talent Acquisition (45%)
    • Recruits across multiple businesses throughout the company. 
    • Establishes and maintains relationships with management, hiring managers, and HR partners across the company to understand intricate business needs to effectively source and facilitate the selection of quality candidates. 
    • Develops and implements effective and comprehensive sourcing strategies for assigned requisitions. 
    • Identifies passive talent through non-traditional methods including social networking, AIRS techniques (Boolean, flipping, peeling, x-raying), cold calling and external networking. 
    • Interviews candidates using advanced behavioral techniques to determine most qualified candidate. 
    • Manages interview and selection process to ensure superior candidate experience while providing strategic advice and counsel to senior executives. 
    • Assesses candidate's probability of offer acceptance; identify other competing opportunities, conduct a complete review of the current compensation package to include incentives and negotiate final offer. 
    • Research and evaluates new sourcing ideas and methods as well as test and promote suitable new technology that adds value to hiring talent. 
    • Contributions to the creation of sourcing strategies in accordance with established Affirmative Action Plans. 
  • Operational Recruiting (30%)
    • Recruits of all high-volume operational roles nationwide or manages Recruitment Process Outsourcing partner to fill requisitions. 
    • Reviews resumes, pre-screens candidates and recommends candidates for hiring manager interviews. 
    • Organizes recruitment days and hiring events. 
    • Establishes and maintains relationships with hiring managers across the company to understand business needs to effectively facilitate the selection of quality candidates. 
    • Assists with passively sourcing exempt candidates as requested. 
    • Builds strong partnerships with business leaders to anticipate volumes and recruitment needs in advance of hiring surges. 
    • Stays informed of innovative recruiting trends and the competitive external market as it relates to local sites. 
    • Maintains documentation and integrity of Applicant Tracking System. Utilizes system to track, report, and measure status of open positions. 
    • Generates offer letters, extends employment offers and maintains necessary documentation in the Applicant Tracking System. 
    • Maintains and develops partnerships with management, candidates and colleges/universities. 
    • Participates in local job and career fairs to attract top talent. 
  • Campus Program Support (15%)
    • Assists in executing the campus hiring strategy at colleges and universities local to various site locations. 
    • Partners with business stakeholders and HR Business Partners to identify and execute on annual university recruiting hiring targets. 
    • Supports and coordinates summer intern activities and identifies ways to continue to expand and improve internship program across the company. 
    • Works with HR Operations team to ensure smooth new hire processing for all interns, including coordination of specific internship orientation. 
    • Partners with university and college placement offices to identify opportunities and strategies to enhance employment brand on campus. 
    • Identifies opportunities to strengthen partnerships, networking and recruiting opportunities through both university and community events. 
    • Seeks new partner schools and local programs that strategically align with internal growth strategy. 
  • Project Management (10%)
    • Manages assigned Talent Acquisition program(s) to include pilot programs and enterprise-wide rollouts. 
    • Works with all SLM locations in determining local best practices and optimal solution(s) for all pilots and program introductions or enhancements. 
    • Evaluates effectiveness of current practices, programs, or vendors and conducts due diligence on alternatives; makes recommendation for future and implements new program/processes as appropriate. 
    • Develops and implements TA key initiatives, as assigned. 
  • Compliance & Controls (5%)
    • Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures, paying close attention to Talent Acquisition desktop procedures. 
    • Ensures that recruiting and hiring practices are compliant with all applicable local, state, and federal employment laws as well as OFCCP/EEOC guidelines. 
    • Assists in in drafting appropriate desktop procedures pertaining to Talent Acquisition.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or other related field, or equivalent work experience. 
  • 3+ years of experience working within a Human Resources role with a focus on Talent Acquisition functions. 
  • 1+ year of experience recruiting for high volume call center roles. 
  • Demonstrated experience working within Applicant Tracking Systems. 
  • Knowledge of employment law and compliance standards (EEO, OFCCP, Affirmative Action). 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated presentation skills with the ability to present material in a clear, concise manner to senior management as needed. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and follow-through. 
  • Strong negotiation skills with the demonstrated ability to influence. 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to prioritize, anticipate needs and adapt to changing priorities. 
  • Able to delivery results with accuracy and speed. 
  • Ability to build relationships with business leaders and HR partners. 
  • Professional maturity and ability to appropriately handle confidential information. 
  • Excellent time management skills. 
  • Ability to travel domestically (< 10%).
