Digital Visualization Designer – Product Experience Team
Houston, TX
Hybrid Role
$26-28/HR

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client, a leading retail company, is seeking a Digital Visualization Designer to join their Product Experience Team on a hybrid basis in Houston, TX, for a 12-24+ month contract with strong potential for extension or conversion. In this role, you will play an integral part in making the purchase of complex products surprisingly easy and exciting for customers. You will be responsible for building and configuring highly customizable products using proprietary software for both online and in-store applications. You will collaborate closely with merchandising and technical teams to execute strategic objectives related to assortment strategy and expansion, while ensuring a seamless and intuitive ecommerce product configuration experience. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a results-driven environment, is detail-oriented, and is passionate about continual process improvement to enhance the overall site experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Build and configure highly complex, customizable products using proprietary software for online and in-store purchase experiences
  • Create logical, user-friendly ecommerce product configuration flows with minimal friction and superior clarity
  • Perform routine product configuration updates within highly sensitive time constraints
  • Develop and implement product customization and conditional logic to support configuration limitations and possibilities
  • Provide ongoing technical product support to Call Center associates, including troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Execute product update and quality assurance initiatives with impeccable attention to detail, adhering to strict QA standards
  • Actively participate in technical and UX-related product initiatives, serving as a thought leader for product configuration
  • Manage and own all relevant steps of product build and updates, including cross-department communication, verification of task completion and correctness, troubleshooting, and proactively seeing all projects through to completion
  • Identify merchandising opportunities and act on them to support assortment strategy and expansion
  • Continuously and proactively improve product setup integrity and processes to enhance the site experience as demonstrated by key site metrics
  • Assist with continual process improvement and follow tasks and projects through to satisfactory completion across all stakeholders

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Proven experience building and configuring complex, customizable products using proprietary software
  • Ability to create clear, logical ecommerce product configuration experiences with minimal friction
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to strict QA standards
  • Experience with routine product configuration updates under tight deadlines
  • Technical product support skills, including troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Ability to manage and communicate across departments to ensure project completion
  • Self-starter, highly motivated to excel under minimal supervision, with a proven track record of executing multiple tasks in a results-driven organization
  • Project management skills and ability to manage own workload
  • Ability to identify merchandising opportunities and act on them
  • Detail-oriented and proactive in process improvement
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) preferred
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Strong collaboration skills and openness to constructive criticism
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
