The ideal candidate is adept at data storytelling, highly skilled in Excel and SQL, and experienced with Federal HR systems such as NFC, HRConnect, and USA Staffing. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance are required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Support workforce analytics initiatives by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting Federal HR data from systems such as NFC, HRConnect, and USA Staffing (USAS).
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports tracking key HR metrics (e.g., hiring timelines, attrition, workforce demographics, onboarding progress).
  • Build dynamic Excel, Power BI, or similar tools that allow real-time updates during executive briefings.

  • Extract and normalize historical HR data from federal systems and portals (e.g., National Finance Center [NFC], HR Connect, USA Staffing, Enterprise Services Portal).
  • Track, collect, and develop datasets supporting HR audits, payroll reviews (A-123), and performance reporting.
  • Translate complex HR datasets into clear, concise, and visually compelling presentations for senior leadership.
  • Convert technical HR terminology and Federal processes into plain-language insights for non-HR stakeholders.
  • Assist in end-to-end hiring analytics, including pipeline tracking, onboarding timelines, and process optimization; identify inefficiencies and recommend data-driven improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with agency HR and management goals through data analytics.
  • Respond rapidly to changing requirements, priorities, and leadership requests.
  • Collaborate with HR teams, program offices, and leadership to refine analytics needs and deliverables.
  • Provide on-the-spot data adjustments and analysis during meetings with executives.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain government-required security clearance.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience supporting Federal HR data calls, audits, and reporting requirements.
  • Proven ability to translate complex HR and workforce data into actionable insights for senior leaders.
  • Strong data storytelling and executive-level presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of human capital strategies and workforce analytics methodologies.
  • Understanding of Federal HR processes, including hiring, onboarding, personnel actions, and workforce planning.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data modeling) and SQL, including queries and formulas.
  • Experience building interactive dashboards (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools).
  • Strong data manipulation and analysis skills with large datasets, including summarizing numerical and quantifiable data to provide usable information.
  • Experience extracting and normalizing data from Federal HR systems (NFC, HR Connect, USAS, Enterprise Services Portal, or other Federal HR platforms).
  • Ability to merge multiple datasets for comprehensive data call responses.
  • Experience utilizing AI tools (e.g., Copilot) for analytics and formulas preferred.
  • Ability to respond quickly to shifting priorities and leadership requests.
