ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client, a Fortune 50 retailer, is seeking a Project Analyst – Merchandising Services for a 7-month onsite contract in Atlanta, GA, with potential for extension. As a key member of a highly visible project integration team, you will play a critical role in supporting the execution of enterprise merchandising, capital, and store operations initiatives. This position acts as a vital link between corporate teams and field execution partners, ensuring projects are operationally ready for in-store implementation by coordinating data, labor, materials, logistics, and project documentation across multiple business partners.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. You will support large-scale initiatives with significant business impact, helping transform project plans into successful in-store executions while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Support the execution of enterprise merchandising and store operations projects by coordinating activities across field teams, logistics, merchandising services, supply chain, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Collect, validate, and consolidate project information from field partners to support planning, readiness assessments, and implementation activities.
  • Review project requirements and validate readiness within internal project management systems, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and execution requirements are met.
  • Analyze and interpret planograms, merchandising layouts, and project documentation to support successful store-level execution.
  • Coordinate labor scheduling, direct-to-site shipments, material deliveries, and implementation logistics to ensure resources are available when required.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks or execution gaps, and proactively communicate issues to stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot scheduling, reporting, and execution-related challenges for field teams throughout project lifecycles.
  • Maintain project documentation, system records, reporting tools, and database entries to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Track implementation results and provide data-driven insights to support post-project analysis and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Partner with project managers and business stakeholders to ensure project scope, timelines, and operational requirements remain aligned throughout execution.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance project delivery efficiency, reporting accuracy, and operational readiness.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Associate degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting project management, operations, merchandising, retail execution, supply chain, logistics, or related business functions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data validation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Ability to identify issues, solve problems, and proactively drive tasks to completion with limited supervision.
  • Experience supporting retail, merchandising, supply chain, store operations, or capital project initiatives (preferred).
  • Familiarity with MLX, MPC, or similar project execution and merchandising systems (preferred).
  • Experience reviewing planograms or supporting store implementation projects (preferred).
  • Exposure to AI-enabled productivity tools and process automation technologies (preferred).
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams in large enterprise organizations (preferred).
  • Ability to connect operational details to broader project objectives.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and changing priorities.
  • Excellent follow-through and execution mindset.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with both corporate and field-based partners.
  • Passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
