Job Description

Job Title: Accounting Coordinator

Location: On-site; Herndon, VA

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support a growing accounting team with a focus on accounts payable and data entry. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-level candidate looking to gain hands-on experience, develop their skills, and work in a collaborative, team-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process high-volume accounts payable (AP) transactions
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry into accounting systems
  • Assist with invoice coding, matching, and reconciliations
  • Support day-to-day accounting operations and administrative tasks
  • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of accounting or AP experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work on-site daily and collaborate with a team
  • Experience with accounting software such as:
    • ProContractor MX (Trimble)
    • Procore (preferred, not required)
  • Construction industry experience is a plus
