Senior Store Planner
Remote Role (United States)
Compensation: $25 – $30 per hour (Initial 12-month contract with annual renewal based on project workload)
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a Senior Store Planner to lead the development and execution of retail fixture plans and store layouts for remodel and merchandise initiative projects. As a subject matter expert, you will ensure that layouts support merchandising strategies, operational requirements, and brand standards. This remote, contract role requires expertise in AutoCAD, a strong understanding of retail merchandising, store flow, and fixture planning principles. You will manage complex projects, resolve layout issues, ensure adherence to project schedules and quality standards, and collaborate with construction teams, vendors, and cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of relevant experience, strong project management and communication skills, and the ability to work independently while guiding and supporting other store planners.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop and oversee fixture plans and store layouts using AutoCAD for remodel and merchandise initiative projects
- Lead complex store planning projects, ensuring alignment with merchandising strategies, operational requirements, and brand standards
- Resolve layout issues related to merchandising changes, planograms, and building constraints
- Ensure project quality, schedule adherence, and achievement of production goals
- Collaborate with construction teams, vendors, and cross-functional business partners
- Provide guidance and support to store planners and project team members
- Independently manage store planning projects from concept through final delivery
- Partner effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors to achieve project objectives
- Deliver accurate, high-quality fixture plans within established timelines
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3+ years of retail store planning, visual merchandising, or related experience
- Strong AutoCAD proficiency
- Knowledge of retail merchandising, store flow, and fixture planning principles
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Degree or technical training in Drafting, Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred
