Staff Accountant
On-Site Role, Indianapolis, IN 46204
Compensation: $60,000 – $80,000
Full time: 40hrs/week
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to play a crucial role in supporting clients' financial and tax compliance needs. In this position, you will work closely with a team of experienced professionals to prepare and review financial statements and tax returns, perform audits, reviews, and compilations, conduct tax research, and help clients navigate complex tax regulations. You will gain valuable exposure to various industries and tax specialties, stay current on tax law changes, and provide informed guidance to clients. This role offers the opportunity to receive mentorship, work in a collaborative environment, and advance your career in tax accounting.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Perform audits, reviews, and compilations of client financial statements
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
- Conduct research to ensure accurate interpretation and application of tax laws
- Assist clients with tax planning, identifying opportunities for optimization
- Collaborate with team members to provide timely and accurate tax services
- Stay updated on tax law changes and industry trends to provide informed guidance
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years of relevant tax experience
- CPA or CPA candidate
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
- Experience in UltraTax / Thomson Reuters (preferred)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented and well-organized
